The Story Behind FarmtoCups
FarmToCups isn’t just a brand; it’s a dream that began in the lush coffee estates of Coorg and grew into a mission to redefine how the world experiences beverages.
Where It All Began
For Raksha, a fourth-generation coffee farmer, the land wasn’t just a livelihood; it was a legacy. She grew up among the whispering coffee trees of Coorg, where every harvest was a celebration and every cup of coffee carried the spirit of the soil. But as she ventured into the world of business and sustainability, she noticed the disconnect between farmers and consumers.
At the same time, Vasishta, an entrepreneur and storyteller, was on his own journey of rediscovering the magic of India’s agricultural heritage. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of food and drink, he often wondered why the market was flooded with mass-produced, faceless products. Where was the authenticity? The story?
"I asked myself: What if we could bridge the gap? What if every sip could tell a story—from the farmer’s hands to the consumer’s heart?" —Vasishta
The Moment of Connection
When Raksha and Vasishta met, it was as though two puzzle pieces clicked into place. Over cups of coffee (of course!), they shared their frustrations with the status quo and their dreams for something better. That conversation turned into an idea, and the idea turned into FarmToCups—a brand rooted in sustainability, authenticity, and the belief that great things happen when the soil connects to the soul.
What Drives Us
For Raksha, FarmToCups is deeply personal. As someone who has worked with farmers and sustainability initiatives, she ensures that every product represents ethical sourcing, respect for the environment, and fair trade practices.
Vasishta brings a creative edge to the partnership. With his background in community building and product design, he focuses on creating unforgettable experiences that go beyond the beverage itself. From recipe crafting to storytelling, he’s the heart behind the brand’s connection with customers.
Our First Steps
Our journey started with the Thaimala Roast, a bold and rich Robusta coffee sourced directly from Coorg’s farms. It wasn’t just about delivering premium coffee—it was about sharing stories like Ravi Kumar’s. A fourth-generation coffee farmer, Ravi proudly says:
"For the first time, our coffee isn’t just a product; it’s a story being told to those who drink it."
From there, we expanded to artisanal teas like Blue Pea, Hibiscus, and Chamomile, as well as herbal infusions crafted from indigenous herbs and spices. Each product reflects the richness of India’s agricultural bounty and the care of the farmers who grow it.
Looking Ahead
For Raksha and Vasishta, FarmToCups is more than a business—it’s a movement. They envision a future where farmers are empowered, sustainability isn’t optional, and every sip connects the consumer to the land.
Over the next decade, FarmToCups aims to become a diverse ecosystem of premium farm-to-table beverages, expanding into new product lines while staying true to the values that started it all.
